Condition:
Framed: 85.5 by 98cm., 33? by 38?in. The canvas is not lined and the edges are taped. UV inspection reveals a thick and in places uneven and slightly discoloured varnish through which the UV light cannot fully penetrate, but there do appear to be some areas and lines of historic retouching along the edges, the most prominent of which include a possible area to the upper right corner and and an L-shaped line (approximately 4cm in length) to the upper part of the right edge, which appears to relate to a repaired tear. The canvas is slightly undulating at all four corners and there are pin-sized holes to parts of the extreme edges with tiny associated paint losses. There are some fine lines of craquelure in places. This work is in overall good condition.
